Sponge Iron
Direct Reduced Iron, commonly abbreviated as DRI and known as sponge iron, is produced through a reduction process that converts iron ore pellets or lump ore into a versatile, high-quality metallic product.
By using natural gas or coal-derived gas as a reducing agent, we facilitate a clean and efficient reduction reaction that produces sponge iron. This porous metallic structure embodies purity and strength, offering distinct advantages over traditional iron production methods.
The product of the plant's direct reduction unit is used as an intermediate product in the steelmaking unit of Arfa Iron and Steel.
